The Nintendo Wii video game system is in a word, "Great."  The only problem is finding one to buy.  We had such a hard time finding one at the local stores, that we ended up buying a Nintendo Wii system on e-bay.  Yes, we did end up paying about $100 more than the original price, but we got one and in time for Christmas. 

I believe it was worth it because of the uniqueness of the Nintendo Wii.  The controllers are much different but fit well in your hands and after a short period of getting used to them, it makes it easy to play the games.  They are also blue tooth oriented, so they communicate with the Nintendo Wii to pick up your movements.  It makes the play more realistic and fun.  For instance, with Wii sports that comes with the system, you can play tennis, boxing, bowling, baseball, and golf.  When playing tennis, you swing your arm and the Nintendo Wii knows to swing the computer characters arm the same way or serve the ball when you raise your arm.  bowling is also great in this respect.  Believe me, you will have a lot of fun with these games.

Another amazing thing about the Nintendo Wii is that it attracts people that normaly are not video game players.  My wife hates video games, but she loves to play Wii tennis and bowling.  She is very good at it.  I think it has partly to do with the contollers and easy play.  You don't have to know complicated button combinations.  Just move the controller and "nunchuk" controller and enjoy playing.  Nintendo was very smart in developing a video game system that is easy to play and attracts a wider market.

If you enjoy the world of Mario Brothers, the Nintendo Wii is the system for you.  There are many games available with the Mario characters, and they are great looking and fun to play games.

Nintendo Wii is not really for the MMORG crowd or those looking for unbelievable graphics.  If that is you, a Playstation 3 or XBox 360 is likely your cup of tea.  But for the rest of the world and those who want to have some fun with friends and not take the games too seriously, the Nintendo Wii is the video game system for you.
